  • Temporary Part time contract 5 days/fortnight until 19th August 2018 (Flexible days Mon-Fri).

About the role

We are now looking for a highly motivated professional to join our team in a temporary parental leave relief postion until 19th August 2018 as a Clinical Research Associate for 5 days / fortnight. You will work collaboratively with a high performing multi-disciplinary team. You will be involved in facilitating and supporting the conduct of clinical trials for children and young people with cancer, and specifically, you will:

  • Support the conduct of clinical trials within Reef unit based on Good Clinical Practice guidelines
  • Promote and facilitate the enrolment of children and young people newly diagnosed with cancer onto appropriate trials
  • Ensure compliance with ethics submission requirements and the regulatory requirements of Monash Health and other research bodies as applicable.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting for patients enrolled on Clinical Trials
  • Increase the number of Clinical Trials available for patients in the CCC through ethics and governance submissions of priority studies
  • Collaborate with other paediatric oncology units across Australia and internationally on joint clinical research projects.

What you can bring to us

If you can demonstrate that you satisfy the following mandatory criteria, we’d love to hear from you:

  • Degree in Nursing/Medical Science/other relevant specialities
  • Good Clinical Practice certification and working knowledge of ICH-GCP, the NHMRC guidelines and ethics and governance submissions within the Victorian context. 
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively conducting multiple clinical trials concurrently
  • Strong organisational and rigorous documentation skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience in working effectively within multidisciplinary team

Clinical trial related postgraduate qualifications and experience in the set up and management of databases are desirable but not mandatory.
