About the roles

An exciting opportunity exists for nurses and midwives with experience in all areas of nursing and midwifery, such as Emergency, Paediatrics, Intensive care, Perioperative, Medical/Surgical, Renal, Sub-Acute and Midwifery to join the Nursing and Midwifery Education & Strategy team (NaMES). We require highly skilled clinicians with a passion for education who will be responsible for providing clinical and educational support to nursing and midwifery staff across Monash Health with a particular focus on our novice workforce. Some of your specific accountabilities will include:

  • Providing contemporary education that promotes best practice standards
  • Clinical bedside support to nurses and/or midwives
  • Demonstrating and promoting best practice standards
  • Create learning opportunities for staff through empowering education
  • Helping to ensure that through a highly skilled and educated workforce our patients receive safe and high-quality care
  • Effective communication and escalation
  • Working collaboratively with the leadership team including the multi-disciplinary team

About you

You are a highly skilled nursing or midwifery clinician with well-developed engagement, communication and collaboration skills.  You have a passion for and experience in supporting learners, a commitment to quality clinical care and sound clinical skills.

In addition, the following will be highly regarded:

  • Completion of, or working towards postgraduate qualifications/or
  • Certificate IV workplace training and assessment
