Position Summary

Application Support Officer
Due to continuous growth we have an exciting opportunity within our Patient Application Support Team. The role will be fundamental in providing Level 2 support for Critical Patient Support Applications internal to MONASH HEALTH. We are seeking an Application Support Officer with excellent communications, technical and analytical skills to join our close-knit IT team for an18 Months Contract Position. Salary Negotiable, based on experience and capability ($70K - $80K range). Suitable for new graduates or people looking to change from clinical role to IT role.

Key Responsibilities 

Take phone calls during business hours.
Review all incidents raised via help desk incident management system INFRA.
Analyse application logs to identify common trends and underlying problems
Manage users and accounts in AD/LDAP
Reassign problems to higher level application/infrastructure support that can’t be resolved
Test new patches/releases, manage system outages and upgrades
Attending client status meetings to review open issues.
Skills and Experience
Attention to detail, strong troubleshooting & analysis skills, with the ability to prioritize & work within SLA
Strong customer service focus, ability to work with end users at all levels - assisting, advising and training
Proactive and flexible with a can do attitude
Working knowledge of relational databases including SQL queries, views, triggers and stored procedures
Working knowledge of HL7 Messaging and application integration
Relevant tertiary IT qualifications
About you
You self-manage daily tasks to meet deadlines and excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to work in a small team. A quick learner with ability to adapt to the changing business needs, while methodical, with a logical approach to problem solving. You're approachable, with a friendly manner and have knowledge of change and release management
Also:

  • Understanding of ITIL
  • Managing cases, requests and enhancements using online tools and processes
  • Ability to assist with the support of internal applications, including rostered on call work
  • Ability to maintain solution and application support documentation to the highest quality and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, work on multiple projects/systems, multi-task, define deliverable and meet established deadlines. 

Desirable:

  • Experience working in health
  • Experience with Symphony, iPM, Patient Flow Manager
  • Experience with call logging systems Infra, JIRA
  • Ability to learn and master employer-specific software
