Position Summary

About the Roles

We are looking for positive, committed and inspiring Surgical HMO4s or Provisional Registrars to join our surgical teams for a short term contract from October 2017 - February 2018. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional care and outstanding outcomes for our patients. We are committed to producing the best quality Monash Doctors and providing the highest standard of education and support for our staff.

These posts are designed for aspiring surgical trainees, seeking to complete requirements in order to apply to various RACS SET streams. A wide range of surgical terms are offered and including General Surgery Registrar rotations and SET leave cover. Our General surgery department is dedicated to future aspiring general surgery trainees and will assist and encourage you with future SET applications.

Selection Criteria Are you currently a Monash Health employee?

If you are not a current Monash Health employee, please list the Health service you currently work at? If you are a current Monash Health employee please respond with N/A.

Are you a PGY3, PGY4, PGY5 or PGY6+?

For which of the following positions are you applying? HMO3, HMO4 or Provisional Surgical Registrar

If not successful for your first preference above, do you want to be considered for any of the other two positions listed? If so please state which?

What surgical SET specialties are you interested in pursuing in the future?

Have you applied to enter RACS SET training (in 2016 for 2017 posts)? If so, which ones?

Do you wish to undertake general surgery registrar rotations in 2017 if appointed (subject to ability & approval)?

A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required for this position. Do you have a WWCC? If so please list the number and expiry date.

Candidates who are not Monash Health staff are required to attach a completed Fit to Work Police Check consent form and 100 points of certified ID. Please respond yes to confirm your acknowledgment of this requirement or N/A if you are a current employee.
