Our work is with individuals and their families. The position provides psychological services, maintains an active case-load, and delivers a psychological service to a range of individuals. The setting is an acute inpatient psychiatric unit, that provides psychiatric assessment and treatment to adult consumers (aged 25-64 years) who are acutely unwell due to a relapse of their mental illness or other mental health issues and are unable to receive assessment and treatment in a less restrictive environment.

 This role will suit a dedicated clinical or forensic psychologist who wants to further develop their competencies in working in adult mental health. With your foundation being a commitment to public health, we look to you to support our goals of best care, providing psychological assessments and intervention for your clients. Your delivery of psychologically interventions meets the behavioural, cognitive, emotional and psychological needs of people experiencing mental illness. As you can imagine, this role will allow you to draw on your existing experience and qualifications and build on these.

Selection Criteria Current full registration as a psychologist with APHRA

Masters of Doctoral degree in clinical or forensic psychology

Have or working towards APHRA endorsement in clinical or forensic psychology

Experience working in mental health setting in particular inpatient settings
