Position Summary

Monash Children's Specialist Consulting Clerical Team Part Time and Full time Positions Available due to Clinic Expansion! 

Monash Children's Specialist Consulting is seeking part time staff and full time staff members to join our patient focused team. The Specialist Consulting Clerical Team contributes to patient focused care while ensuring Department of Health and Human Services mandates are met. We are a growing department and have a need to add to our team.

About the role

The role is responsible for responding to incoming calls and emails, processing referrals, scheduling appointments, managing wait list referrals, attending clinic and data entry. The successful incumbents require excellent communication and customer service skills in addition to intermediate computer skills.

What you need to know


Shifts may be Monday to Saturday business hours and will require travel to other Monash Health sites. Roster start and finish times may also change to assist with leave cover throughout the period.

Selection Criteria

  • General clerical and / or administrative skills
  • Medical terminology knowledge
  • Excellent computer skills and a willingness to learn new software packages
  • Intermediate computer skills – MS Word, and Excel
  • Knowledge of iPM, patient management systems

As well as advanced verbal, written and interpersonal skills involving good use of English are required. Time management skills are essential, including capacity to prioritise effectively to meet the requirements of the position.

Selection Criteria Ability to communicate accurately and effectively in both written and verbal forms

Present oneself in a professional and respectful manner

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Ability to work independently as well as collaborating with others to deliver outcomes

Knowledge of iPM, SMR or other equivalent patient administration systems

Competent use of Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word, Excel, Outlook.
