About Us

South West 4 (Accountable Care Experience Unit) is specialised in general medicine with a focus on stroke and satellite telemetry management.  We are one of two wards in Monash Health to have implemented the "Accountable Care Experience (ACE)" model for our patients.  The ACE structure has a focus on adapting innovative change to effect and provide exceptional care to our patients.  Under the ACE team structure, Registered Nurses will be encouraged to communicate in harmony with Medical, Allied Health and Pharmacy leads to implement care plans.

About the Role 

This role is your stepping stone to taking on leadership responsibilities. As an Associate Nurse Manager you will assist the Nurse Unit Manager, take charge of the ward, drawing on your organisational, clinical and communication skills. As well we will look to you for your ideas and fresh eyes to help us be our best. Your development of course does not finish with this role. A nurse educator is available to support you, while your Nurse Manager will help you take your leadership aspirations further should you wish to do so. 

About You

As an experienced RN with minimum 4-5 years of Acute Hospital experience in general medicine, you work with a patient centred approach and an excellent bedside manner.  You are wanting to progress your leadership capabilities and are willing to support the Nurse Manager in the running of the unit, and support of the team. Ideally, you have current experience in stroke management, telemetry and general medicine and have had exposure to running of a ward in the ANM capacity, however we certainly welcome your current experience and look forward to supporting and growing on your current clinical knowledge and exposure in an Acute area.

  • Current APHRA registration 
  • Proven Clinical experience 
  • A willingness to learn and grow your leadership capabilities through commitment to a portfolio
