Position Summary

About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant (AHA) to join the Physiotherapy team at Dandenong Hospital in a part time capacity (0.4 EFT) on a maternity leave contract until February 2020. The exciting role involves assisting the allied health team to provide care to, and implementing individual and group treatment plans for patients across a diverse caseload including Maternity, Neurology, Musculoskeletal, Oncology and General Medicine as well as the Hydrotherapy environment. Rotations across the wards are encouraged providing the opportunity to work in different clinical areas. Other duties include providing and maintaining equipment and administrative tasks that help deliver high quality patient centred care. Some travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Cert IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
  • 3 - 4 years relevant experience (desirable)
